A beautiful F2-style go-car example of the Ferrari 500. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in red over a tubular steel frame, and a 120cc four-stroke single sends power to the rear axle via a drive belt. Features include an electric starter, an independent front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering, hydraulic front brakes, 10″ wire wheels with knock-off hubs, a faux exhaust pipe, a folding windscreen, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a single seat trimmed in beige cloth.
he Ferrari 500 F2 was designed by Aurelio Lampredi and was campaigned by Scuderia Ferrari during the 1952 and 1953 FIA Formula Two seasons, winning back-to-back World Championships with Alberto Ascari behind the wheel.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel fronts an engine-turned panel housing a Ferrari-branded speedometer and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, oil temperature, and oil pressure. A plaque with an Alberto Ascari signature is riveted to the dash panel.
The 120cc four-stroke single was factory rated at 8.5 horsepower, which is sent to the rear axle via belt drive.
